KEBIJAKAN ABAD 21: MEMPERSIAPKAN GENERASI MUDA MENGHADAPI MASA DEPAN YANG PENUH TANTANGAN

This research examines 21st-century educational policies implemented by the Gunungkidul Department of Education to prepare young generations for a challenging future. These policies encompass multiple aspects, including the affirmation of educational goals, regulation and operational control of educational institutions, and discretionary actions granting schools autonomy to tailor learning approaches. Through problem-solving strategies, such as utilizing technology to address digital divides and enforcing sanctioned behaviors for institutions failing to meet standards, these policies aim to achieve equitable and quality education. Additionally, these policies establish consistent behavioral norms, yield policy outputs relevant to local needs, and play a role in raising public awareness of the importance of 21st-century skills-based education. With public support and consistency in application, these educational policies are expected to enhance education quality and create a generation that is competent, of strong character, and adaptable to changing times.
